Pour all three ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lime, and serve.

An interesting touch to this drink is to coat the rim of the glass, like they do with margueritas, only use crushed graham crackers.

This was awful. When I made it the half and half curdled and we had to throw it out.

Something's missing to make this a sweet drink; I think it's Triple sec which often sweetens lemon drop Martini's also.

A good key lime martini should taste just like a fresh slice of the real thing. Sorry, but this is not it.
Try simple syrup

I haven't made this yet, but I make a lemondrop martini that calls for equal parts simple syrup and lemon juice so I'm guessing that adding an ounce of simple syrup to this might make it better.

I've made these martinis with 1/2 oz of Creme de Cocao (light or dark-take your pick). Not only does it slightly sweeten the drink but it also adds a nice undertone to the Stoli Vanilla!

I had it at a restaurant, and LOVED it!! The recipe they gave me was
Spiced Rum
Half and Half
2 sugar cubes
Margaurita mix
However, I tried this recipe at home as well and it curdled on me. I was hoping to find some sort of trick to it online.

STOLI VANILLA, LIME JUICE, PINEAPPLE JUICE
Tastes so much like Key Lime Pie, you don't need the graham cracker rim. I just don't know the proportions of the ingredients yet.

whipped cream

We made ours like this recipe the first time and dumped them! The second time we used;
vanilla vodka
lime juice
pineapple juice
whipped cream
shake it all together and pour into a glass with the graham cracker crumbs
The drink is good, but my favorite part was the graham cracker crumbs because they absorbed the flavor which made them taste like real key lime pie!
Key Lime?: Maybe - Martini?: No Way!!!

At what point does this drink earn the right to call itself a Martini? Some of these recipes don't even contain vodka or gin. Is it just based upon the shape of the glass it's served in?
