A known drink on the menu at Veronica's Piano Bar, Hedonism 11, Negril, Jamaica.
Divide a tall shot glass into thirds, fill the lowest third with grenadine syrup, the middle third with creme de menthe, and float the 151 in the top third.
Wet a thin straw, light the 151 by passing a lighter over it, plunge the straw to the bottom of the glass into the grenadine syrup and suck. If done rapidly and correctly the straw will not melt, and you can observe flames travelling up the inside of it. Stop sucking when the flame is inside the straw.

I first tried this shot at a bar in Jamaica with my cousin. The flame rising up through the straw was an unnerving thought, but I went through with it prowdly. I did recall the colors being stacked differently, with the inclusion of bannana liqueur being the middle color, creme de menthe at the bottom, and grenadine at the top with the rum. When I do this shot, I don't use a spoon. I just tilt the shooter, and pour it like beer. I would prefer a liqueur glass or a tall shooter. Presentation is kind of important to me.

When I visited jamaica, someone worked at the bar, he offered me that shot, I went go for it. I was nervous at first. When I tried it, I loved it! I felt so burned inside of me. I decided to try a second time. It was unbelievable. You can't just taste it because the flame burns your taste for a while. It was good. I rated it 10! :)
O yeah

I use the Bob Marley shots at all of my parties, but I use Midori instead of the creme de menthe, and add some cocoanut rum in between the creme de menthe and the 151. Good stuff.
Mhmmm, want one right nowww

Haha, I also just tried this shot in jamaica this past week. Some guy was gettin' smashed with his friends because he was getting married the next day, and he offered me and a kid the shot. Just looks cool as shitttt haha.

We were in Jamaica for four nights for our anniversary. Unfortunately it wasn't until the fourth night that we saw someone having a Bob Marley. At our resort, the measurements were more like a shot from each bottle. It looked like fun so both my wife and I decided to try it as the last drink of our night. I guess not too many women try it because not only did the bartender watch my wife down it but a waiter stood on either side to watch her drink it as well! She sucked it down no problem. We returned to our room and she promptly passed out. So much for our final night of passion!

I tried to make a F.B.M. on New Years Eve but when I poured the clear Creme de Menthe on the Grenadine and then the 151, everything blended together. When I had it in Jamacia, I seem to remember three lines of color. I tried to pour slowly along the side too - no help. What did I do wrong?? Thanks.
