Shake all ingredients well with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a dash of rose water if available. Garnish with flamed orange peel, and serve. Our fan Murray W. on Facebook recommends trying the recipe with Grand Mariner [or Cointreau] instead of simple syrup.

No syrup for me and a twist of lemon peel. It is a lovely color, and interesting flavor.

Use unsweetend pomegrante juice from Trader Joe's, still no simple sugar and less juice cause it's stronger in flavor than Pomm.

Not a very strong pomegranate flavor and the simple syrup seemed unnecessary.

Skip the syrup, super chill the glass, shake well and add a twist of lemon and/or lime. Great taste, superb color and 1 is never enough...

I bought some Pomegranate Mix from Cocktail Central. The first time I made it was last weekend. It was okay. This time I made it with Triple Sec and it was delicious. I will serve by the bowl at my holiday party.

No syrup for me either, and I used 1/4 CUP (1/4 oz is a dribble!) of juice.

I prefer no syrup, and if I don't have citrus vodka, I just use regular one and add a splash of lime juice.

Excellent. I don't know what "simple syrup" is. I'm new to the drink-making world, so maybe that is why. :)

I use PAMA instead of pomegranate juice, a little diff. but still works great. It's a good seller. Good smooth flavor.

I used 2-oz Pom juice, juice from a whole lemon (about 1-1/2 oz) and added 1/2 oz Blue Curacao. Sip slow to experience the variety of taste as the drink "slides' into your mouth and down the throat.

One part villina vodka, one part Alize cognac, a splash of pure Pomegranate juice shaken with ice. Serve in a chilled martini glass rimmed in bar sugar with a splash of Club Soda. Yes, it's a chick-drink but if you have it served in a German beer stein nobody will ever know!

Add ginger to the simple syrup, steep, cool and add to the rest of the ingredients. It gives the drink depth.

I agree with Rick. I use the pomegranate liquer and I also use Cointrea for the orange flavor and regular Absolut. All Alcoholic....A much nicer kick but still smooth. I garnish with a slice of fresh orange as opposed to lime

Didn't have simple syrup so I put a cube of sugar in the glass and then the rest of the ingredients. It was delicious! Everyone asked for seconds.
