Put the Vodka and the sugar into a container. Slice 10 lemons and 10 limes and add them to the Vodka. Mix for 10 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved.

Great drink but we call this yucca flatts. You take a glass gallon jar with lid, cut fruit into fourths add a cup of sugar & ice. Pack ice until no more can fit. Put lid on and rap with a pillow case. Take turns shaking it and once the pillow case starts to stick it's done. Pass it around and enjoy.

Holy Christ.. how can you stand it?? I use 1 cup and it's plenty sweet. Plus, it's probably a little less "dangerous" that way.
Also, the traditional aspect I've seen is to mix this in a 1 gal pickle jar (rinse it out good): roll/cut/squeeze lemons, add ice (almost all the way to top), add sugar, then pour in vodka. Wet a dish towel, fold in half length-wise, wrap it around the pickle jar, and then shake the hell out of it for about 20 minutes. This is best accomplished by passing it around the room with a "you don't shake--you don't drink" policy. When it's ready, the towel will actually freeze to the outside of the pickle jar.'
Enjoy. Don't drink and drive.
